Bagar is a small town situated in the
Shekhawati region of
Jhunjhunu District,
Rajasthan. It was founded in the middle of 15th century by the Nagar Pathans. Bagar is 14 km north of
Jhunjhunu.
Major point of attraction is the Piramal Haveli, now converted into a heritage hotel. Bagar is the only painted town of Shekhawati region where one can stay in a Marwari style. A large white gate (built in 1928 in honour Maharaja of Jaipur's visit), Fatehsagar water tank (a large reservoir built by the Ojha family), Rungta Haveli, Rungta Dharmashala and Miya Saheb ki Durgah are worth visiting.
The nearest airport is at Jaipur (190 km) and the nearest railway station is at Jhunjhunu.
