Badagaon Jain Temple

Badagaon Jain Temple is a Jain pilgrim site located at Badagaon, about 4 km from Khekda, in Baghpat District of Uttar Pradesh. It is situated on the Delhi-Saharanpur Road, just 22 km from Delhi. The temple is dedicated to Bhagwan Parshwanath, the 23rd Tirthankar of Jain religion. The idol of Bhagwan Parshwanath was installed under the supervision of Bhattarak Jinchander.

Once it was one of the magnificent temples in the region which later was ruined by change of time and natural calamity. During the early 20th century Ailak Anantkirti, a Jain Priest, got an intuition about the existence of this temple. In 1978, the priest initiated research Samvat. As a result of excavations, 10 Jain idols were found, among these 7 were made of stone and 3 were of metal. The stone idols have inscriptions of the 12th and 13th centuries. The new temple was built in the place of the old ruined temple.

Accommodation facilities are provided for pilgrims. Thousands of devotees visit the shrine every year.
