Ayilara is a small village situated to the east of Anchal (6 km) in Kollam District. It is close to the oil palm plantations of the Oil Palm India Limited, Eroor. Ayilara is endowed with rubber plantations and paddy fields. The village is also blessed with several temples and churches.
Punalur and Kulathuppuzha are well linked with this place. Other tourist attractions such as Thenmala and Aryankavu are easily accessible from here.
