Located on the Mettupalayam Road in
Coimbatore, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, formerly known as Sri Avinashilingam Home Science College for Women, is a center for women and children’s study.
Established in 1957, the institute is a deemed university, and offers diploma, under graduate, post graduate and research degree courses. Faculties are available for home science, humanities, business administration, engineering and community education and entrepreneurship development.
The center has two auditoriums and six hostels. Besides, a separate building is here to accommodate the post graduate students and staff.
