Auroville Centre for Scientific Research (CSR) is an autonomous institution sitauted in
Pondicherry. Established in 1984, this international voluntary organization is working in the fields of renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, and biomass. The centre offers 6-day training programs with accommodation facilities for participants.
The research centre is located in an area of 2.5 acre and has facilities such as conference room, workshop space and a parking space. The Auroville Building Centre (AVBC) is a unit of the CSR specializing in research and development in earth and cement technologies.
