Attabira is a small village situated on the banks of Jhaun River, about 19 km north of
Baragarh, in
Orissa. It is a major rice producing centre in the state. The Hirakud Irrigation Project has considerably improved the material condition of the agricultural community of the area. Attabira is also famous for its locally produced silk and cotton saris and dress materials. The tie and dye system used in weaving and the unique Bomkai prints are famous in Indian market.
National Highway No 6 passes through the village. Bargarh Road Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Raipur Airport is about 240 km from Baragarh.
