Atta is a small village situated at Nuh taluk of
Gurgaon District in
Haryana, nearly 5 km east of
Sohna on Sohna-
Hathin Road. The village has got great archeological importance. Two beautiful medieval icons representing Uma Maheshwara seated on
Nandi, and another of Adinath (the first Jain
Tirthankar) have been found from this site. All the excavations carried out here confirm that it was an important center of art and architecture during the time of Gurjara-Pratiharas. Early historic pottery and late medieval remains have also been excavated from here.
