The Astronomy Club is an independent, non-profit, scientific and educational organization based in
Ahmedabad,
Gujarat. It promotes communication and participation between individuals who are interested in astronomy and allied sciences through meetings, workshops and seminars. Open discussions are organized in the areas of ancient, classical and modern astronomy, astrophysics, celestial photography, cosmology and space mission. The club assists its members in their curricular, educational, charitable, research and other activities. There are opportunities for all people to participate in these activities regardless of age, sex, intelligence, educational background and financial conditions. The club conducts competitions and vacation camps for children. Facilities for safe observations of solar eclipse are available.
