A women’s college, Assumption College was established in 1950. It is a religious minority institution established, owned, and managed by the Archdiocese of
Changanacherry. The teaching facilities include classroom lectures, seminars, video presentations, practical classes, and study tours. The college features religion and value education classes, career guidance, and extension services. Extra curricular activities include NCC, sports, and games. Parent Teacher Association, Alumnae Association, arts club, quiz club, debate club, nature club, and yoga club work in the campus. The six hostels can accommodate 920 students. The college library was established in 1951. The college offers degree courses in English, Economics, History, Malayalam, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science, Food Micro Biology, and Home Science.
