Assam State Zoo and Botanical Garden is situated near the R G Barua Road in
Guwahati,
Assam. Covering an area of 130 hectares, it is the home for swamp tapirs, tigers, leopards, one-horned rhinos and a rich bird life. The zoo also has the African two-horned Rhino.
The zoo is open daily, except Fridays. It is about 5 km east of Guwahati Junction Railway Station.
