Assam Fine Arts and Crafts Society, started in 1971, is situated at
Guwahati, in
Assam. The center aims to foster the studies in the field of art, culture and handicrafts of Assam and neighboring states. The society revives traditional art and craft techniques and brings out books on art and related fields.
Assam Fine Arts and Crafts Society offers vocational training for students. Accommodation facilities are provided for trainees. The center also offers financial supports for higher studies in art and crafts. Exhibition, symposia and camps are organized. Besides, the society works as a library-cum-documentation center.
