Ashta

Ashta is a small town situated midway between Sangli and Islampur, in Sangli District. It is the second oldest municipality in Maharashtra after Mumbai. Ashta is about 20 km from both Sangli and Islampur.

Bhavai is a major festival held in Ashta. Krishna Valley Wine Park and Chandoli Wildlife Sanctuary are other sites around, worth paying a visit.
