Arwal is the seat of administration of
Arwal District, in
Bihar. It is a major center for agricultural trade in the district. Arwal is situated 60 km south of
Patna.
Shwetambar Temple, Golghar and
Har Mandir Takht-a Sikh shrine, in Patna and the Bhojeshwar Temple, known as the Somnath of the east, constitute interesting excursions around. Sone River flows nearby.
