Arulmigu Vel Murugan Temple is situated at the top of Natchathra Kundru (Star Hill) at the southern banks of the Kamandala Naga River in Thiruvannamalai District of
Tamil Nadu. The lance (Vel) of Lord Muruga is worshipped here instead of idols.
Tradition recounts that
Bhogar (one of the eighteen siddhars) came to this place and consecrated the lance.
