Arulmigu Thiru Moorthy Temple is situated at the foot of Thirumoorthy Hills near the
Thirumoorthy Dam. It is believed that
Sage Atri lived here with his wife Anasuya. A myth is associated with this place - once
Lord Shiva with
Brahma and
Vishnu came to test the sage's devotion. Pleased with the couple, the Trinity blessed them. The place came to be known as Thirumoorthy hills because the gods had made their appearance there.
Amavasai Pooja and Pournami Pooja are the main festivals.
This temple is located at Kinathukadavu, 11 km on the Coimbatore - Pollachi road.
