Arulmigu Ekambareswar Temple




Arulmigu Ekambareswar Temple is an ancient shrine located at Chettikulam, in Perambalur District of Tamil Nadu. Built by King Kulasekhara Pandian, about 500 years ago, the temple reflects the architecture splendor of a bygone era. The temple enshrines Lord Shiva as the presiding deity.

Thaipusam is the major festival celebrated here amid much pomp and splendor. During the festive occasion thousands of devotees visit the shrine and get the blessings of Lord Shiva.

Arulmigu Ekambareswar Temple is about 22 km from Perambalur and 8 km west of Alathur gate in Tiruchirapalli-Chennai National Highway 45.
