Arippa is a tourist location located near Kulathupuzha in
Kollam District,
Kerala. The place provides excellent opportunities for trekking, bird watching and photography. Evergreen and semi evergreen forests abound in this region. Arippa is a high bird density area with mainly rare forest species. It is also a Kani tribal hamlet. A Forest Training School functions here.
Arippa is about 60 km from Thiruvananthapuram. The place can be approached on the Nedumangad – Palode – Madathara route. The nearest airport is Trivandrum International Airport. Accommodation facilities are available at Arippa Forestry Training Center and Kerala Forest Development Corporation Rest House.
