Arattupuzha is a village in the southern end of
Alappuzha District

Kerala
. It is a coastal village sandwiched between
Arabian Sea
and
Kayamkulam Lake
. The majority of the local population is involved in fishing. Being a coastal village, Arattupuzha has a long history of sea erosion. The village, located on a 14 km stretch of land, measures a breadth of just 50 m at some places.
