The Aralvaimozhi pass forms the best entrance to the
Kanyakumari District, one of the smallest districts in
Tamil Nadu. This pass has played a strategic role in the history of erstwhile Travancore state. It is one of the passes in the eastern side of the Mahendragiri, the southern most peak in the
Sahyadri mountain.
Aralvaimozhi Pass is barely 20 km from
Kanyakumari.
