Araam Bhawan, also known as Shooting Lodge, is located to the west of
Badnore, in
Rajasthan. It was built for espying wild animals without disturbing them. Situated among dense foliage, it was also used as one of the many shooting boxes.
The walls and ceiling of Araam Bhawan are embellished with patterns made from colored glass. There is a unique ‘jharokha’, intricately garnished with glass beads of different colors, giving the feeling of exquisite Meenakari work. Some human figures can be seen on the sides, painted with natural colors.
