Appam

Appam, a delicious victual available commonly in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, is a bowl like bread with thick, soft and spongy texture in the center. It has a crispy edge. Rice flour, coconut water, scraped coconut and baking powder are included among the contents. Spiced sauce, chicken or vegetable stews are common side dishes for Appam. Fresh toddy is also used in its preparation.
