Anna Square is situated amidst a little garden on the Marina Beach road opposite the
University of Madras. The mortal remains of
Dr. C. N. Annadurai, former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu was buried here. There is a beautiful arch in the shape of two converging elephant tusks. The tomb is flanked by an imposing memorial pillar and an eternal flame. It is also known as Anna Samadhi.
