Ankianat, a dance drama native to
Assam, is exclusively performed by the members of Satra monastery. The monastery, housing men committed to celibacy, is a feature of the region.
There is no specific occasion for performing Ankianat. It is purely for entertainment purpose. It is usually led by the leader of the organization, who is referred by the title Satradhara.
