Angoching

Angoching is a hill range that lies in the Indo-Myanmar frontier. It is one of Manipur's eastern hills that form a continuous chain along the Indo-Myanmar border for approximately 200 km, with an average height of 1,500 m. This hill range is bounded by the Chamu River in the west, Myanmar in the east, and Kachouphung in the north.

The Khamasom Khayang range runs parallel to this mountain range. As the area is highly difficult to access, it remains virgin and thickly forested. It forms a natural habitat for a variety of rare and indigenous flora and fauna. A variety of feline families is also found here.
