Angar is a rural area in Uttarkashi District, Uttaranchal. The state highway starting from Nelang ends here. The Bhagirathi River flows very close to this village. Other nearby locales are Jedhang, Dhumku and Nelang. Set in a fairly remote area, this region caters mainly to adventurous tourists.
