Anekathanga Patham Temple is a delightful shrine situated at
Kanchipuram, in
Tamil Nadu. This highly revered shrine is dedicated to Anekathanga Patham. The deity is installed facing east and the idol is circled by
Lord Muruga,
Lord Dakshinamurthy,
Lord Vishnu and
Goddess Durga.
Anekathanga Patham Temple architectural style dates back to Chola period. Images of Bhairav and Surya can be seen in Muha mandapa. The outer wall of the sanctum boasts epigraphs, which reveal some historical details.
Legends has it that the deity was worshipped by Lord Ganesh, Lord Kubera and Lord Muruga.
