Ananthapathmanathar Temple




Ananthapathmanathar Temple is situated on Lingappaiyer Street in Kanchipuram. The temple has the idol of Lord Shiva in the form of Ananthapathmanathar, as the presiding deity. The legend is that the idol was made by Lord Vishnu to escape from the curse of Goddess Parvati. This temple is accessible only via the Sankara Mutt.

To reach this place, the nearest railway station is the Arakkonam Railway Station, located to the north-east of Kanchipuram.
