Ananthacharya Indological Research Institute




Ananthacharya Indological Research Institute, founded in 1974, is a post graduate center recognized by the University of Mumbai. Located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, it conducts Ph D programs, masters degree programs and certificate and diploma courses in Sanskrit. Library of the Ananthacharya Indological Research Institute carries research collections in Sanskrit literature, religions, philosophy, Indian history, art, architecture, sculpture and painting, archaeology, epigraphy and iconography. There is also an exotic collection of 800 palm-leaf manuscripts on different subjects in Tamil, Devanagari and Telugu scripts.

Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport and Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) Railway Station serve the area.
