Anagola Jain Temples




Anagola, situated in the Belgaum district of Karnataka, is famous for two Jain Temples. Both these temples are dedicated to Bhagvan Adinatha. The temple known as Dodda Basadi was constructed in the year 1592, and has a white colored idol of Adinath in the sitting position. Built in 1842, Karandikar Galli Temple houses a black colored idol of Bhagvan Adinath in the padmasana posture. A white colored new idol of Adinath in the padmasana has also been installed in this temple.
