Amriteshwar Temple




Amriteshwar Temple is a 1,200-year-old shrine in Bhandardara, in Ahmednagar District. It is surrounded by huge mountains and one of the mountains has the Ratangadh fort as its crown.

Lord Shiva is the presiding deity here. Built in Hemadpanti style, the shrine is noted for its exquisite rock carvings.

The shrine is either approachable by road or by an enjoyable 8 km boat ride on Lake Arthur Hill.
