Ammakunda
Located at about 70 km from the district headquarters, Ammakunda is a famous tourist spot in the Khoirput Block. This place is noted for a natural waterfall and a narrow gorge subsequently formed in the down stream. The fish in the gorge are friendly to humans and are believed to be the matsya incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Fishing is not permitted here. Nestled between dense forest and small hillocks, Ammakunda provides an ideal getaway for those who wish to spend some time in the tranquility of nature.
