Amlarem is situated at 27 km from Jowai in Jaintia Hills District. Jowai-Amlarem-Dawki road (National Highway 40) serves the village. Amlarem is endowed with magnificent caves and caverns, a perennial source of attraction to visitors. Nearby markets are Dawki and Muktapur. The valley of Leshka is a very beautiful spot here.
