Amir's Manzil is the only excavated mansion of the buried city of
Champaner, open to view. It spreads over a large site, which shows the size of the residential building. The building dates back to the 15th century and displays the Gujarati - Islamic architectural style.
The many ponds, water channels, and pavilions seen here suggest that it was a house with more than one garden. The terracotta and porcelain murals unearthed here point to a possible luxurious lifestyle enjoyed by its inhabitants. From here one is offered a direct glimpse of the Saria-Vakaria hills and its quarries.
