Ami Egyaras




Ami Egyaras is celebrated on the 11th of the bright half of Phalgun (February/March) in Banswara District, Rajasthan.

On this auspicious day, unmarried boys and girls fast and in the afternoon, they go to a pond and after taking bath bring back a small branch of a tamarind tree. The Bhils attend the fair armed with bows, arrows and sword.
