American Information Resource Centre (AIRC) at
Mumbai is one of the divisions of the American Center in India aimed at promoting a better understanding of the policies, values and culture of the United States. It was formerly known as the American Centre Library.
The center holds a library, which has articles on the latest information on US. It mainly concentrates on offering the knowledge of US foreign policy, business and economics, management, law and legislation and human rights.
Presently it houses 13,000 volumes of books in addition to various US magazines and newspapers. There is a vast collection of CDs. Internet access is also offered.
The library can be casually visited on a small entrance fee. It also offers annual membership. The library is open from Mondays to Fridays from 10:00 to 18:00 hrs.
