Ambikagiri Rai Choudhury was a renowned Assamese poet. He was the founder of the Anarchist party, Guwahati Music College, and Sanrakhini Sabha. He was the president of Asom Sahitya Sabha in 1950.
His famous works are 'Bandini Bharat,' 'Shatadhar,' 'Jayadrath Badh,' 'Bhakta Gourav,' 'Kalyaanmoyee', 'Deka Dekerir Bed,' and 'Aahuti.' He was given the Sahitya Akademi Award for his work 'Bedonar Ulka.'
