Amareshwarar Temple




Amareshwarar Temple located in Kanchipuram, is dedicated to Lord Shiva and houses an idol of the Lord in the name of Amareshwarar. It is believed that the celestials worshipped Lord Shiva in this temple after Amrita was churned from the Ocean of Milk. The temple courtyard also houses the deities of Vinayaka, Muruga and the navagraha.

To reach this place, the nearest railway station is the Arakkonam Railway Station, located to the north-east of Kanchipuram.
