Alamnagar is a historical town of
Madhepura District in
Bihar. During the 1942 revolt, this town had played a prominent role.
Located close to the road connecting Kishanganj and Naugachhia, the town is 25 km south of Madhepura - the district headquarters.
The main stream of the Kosi River, a prominent tributary of the Ganges, flows 15 km toward the south of Alamnagar.
