Alamapur is a small village lying about 10 km south-west of Dausuya in
Hoshiarpur District. This village is considered to be a holy place as it was blessed by
Guru Hargobind, the sixth Sikh Guru.
Devotees believe that the guru had halted here for many days. Guru Hargobind is said to have constructed his tents at Alampur, which accounts for the holiness of the place. Gurdwara Tambu Sahib Patshahi Chhevin has been constructed here on a low mound. The present gurdwara, constructed in 1983, has a rectangular hall.
Amritsar International Airport is the nearest airport and the major railhead nearby is Hoshiarpur Railway Station.
