Commenced in 1988, the Alaknanda Academy of Dance and Music is a prominent institution for performing arts at
Alaknanda in
New Delhi. It offers training in over a dozen streams of classical dances and music, including Kathak, Odissi, Bharatanatyam, Carnatic vocal, violin, veena, Hindustani vocal, sitar and guitar. Alaknanda Academy of Dance and Music conducts national-level competitions in classical dance and music, which provides a much needed platform to upcoming talents. Scholarships are given for deserving students.
