Perched at an altitude of about 905 ft above sea level, Ala is a small village in Jammu District of Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 27 km away from Jammu. Ala is bounded by Kothe Arnia in the west, Kiryal Khurd in the north, Kotla in the east and Kothe Kanna in the south. Many short treks and hikes to upland villages can be arranged from here.
