Akorha

Akorha is a small upcoming town in Aurangabad District of Bihar. It is 17 km south-west of Aurangabad, the district headquarters, and Barun, on National Highway 2, is 10 km south. Proximity to the Son River makes Akorha prone to flooding during monsoons. Dehri on Sone (17 km north-west) and Rohtasgarh Fort at Sasaram (34 km north-west) are worth visiting. Gaya Airport, nearly 80 km north-east, is the nearest airport. Located close to the rail route linking Husainabad with Dehri on Sone, Akorha is served by Ankorah Akorha Railway Station.
