Akbarpur Khudal




Akbarpur Khudal is a historic village situated about 5 km north-east of Bareta in Mansa District, Punjab. It is believed that Guru Gobind Singh reached this village in 1706 to save a Sikh who had been imprisoned by the village chief.

This village has a famous Gurdwara named Gurdwara Bhora Sahib Patshahi commemorating the tenth and last Sikh Guru. Built in 1951 by a Sikh devotee called Harchand Singh Jeji, the Gurdwara contains a domed sanctum and a spacious hall. Thousands of devotees throng here especially on festivals.

Bareta Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
