Aiswarya Lakshmi Temple and Ashram




Aiswarya Lakshmi Temple and Ashram, located at Kozhikode, Kerala, is managed by Kallur Swamiji. The temple houses an idol of Goddess Lakshmi in sitting posture. The idol is made of a very rare and precious stone, Patalanjanam. It is said that the idol appeared within the holy fire during the Mahayajna conducted by Sri Kallur Swamiji in Ammayappan Nagar village of Tiruchirapalli District, Tamil Nadu in the year of 1995. Swamiji placed the idol in Virippil village of Kozhikode, Kerala by the divine will.

Daily rites and rituals are performed here regularly. Pongala nivedyam is the main offering of the temple. Udayasthamana pooja, chuttuvilakku, niramala, neyvilakku and thali pooja are other daily offerings. Annual ten day festival is conducted from May 22nd.

The ashram provides free food and accommodation to its lifetime members periodically. An English medium school is run by the ashram. The ashram intends to build a film institute, computer center, an old age home, medical college, engineering college and children's village. Kallur Swamiji performs yagas (an offering , oblation or sacrifice) and poojas for world peace and welfare of his devotees in various parts of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
