Aidamma Temple (Bala Nagamma) is situated in Balanagamma village in the Vanaparthi taluk of
Mahabubnagar District. The village draws its name from the Bala Nagamma folklore popularized by the
Burrakatha artistes. The temple is devoted to goddess Aidamma, who is worshipped as a compassionate goddess. The annual festival of the temple falls in the month of
Shravan (July-August). On this occasion, special prayer services are conducted. Thousands of people attend this fair. Besides this, regular daily
pujas are conducted to invoke the blessings of the goddess.
The nearest railway station is at Mahabubnagar. Mahabubnagar is about 96 km from Hyderabad, which is well connected by road, rail and air with all important towns and cities in the state.
