Ahuna is one of the important festivals of Sema tribe in
Nagaland. It is a post harvest festival and generally falls in November.
Special dishes of rice cultivated from season's harvest are prepared on this occasion. Uniqueness is that the receptacles used to cook and serve the dishes are made from indigenously available resources.
During the festival, Genna (ritual of Nagas) is performed to predict whether the coming year's harvest is good or evil.
