Ahmednagar Museum started functioning with two halls in May 1960. Today, the museum displays coins of ancient currency, thousands of materials in handwritten texts, weapons, sculptures, and artifacts. The ‘Sita Swayamwar’ ring, portrait of Sambhaji, horoscope measuring 66 meters, and map of India printed in London in 1816 are some among the peculiar collections of the museum. The museum is open on all days except Thursdays.
