Agasteeswarar Temple is located at Perungudi, in
Tiruchirapalli District of
Tamil Nadu. It is a monument of the days of Sundara Chola and Aditya. The temple enshrines Agasteeswarar as the presiding deity. Situated on the northern wall of the central shrine is an inscription Parakesarivarman (Adithya II). Agasteeswarar Temple attracts large number of devotees from far and near.
