Adhai-Din-Ka Jhonpara

Built by Visaldev in 1153, Adhai-Din-Ka Jhonpara is a mosque situated at the foot of Taragarh hill. It is one of the finest examples of Indo-Islamic architecture. The mosque is said to have been constructed in two and a half days. It was a Sanskrit college building. In 1193, Mohammad Ghori destroyed the college and a mosque was built in its place. The distinct pillars and arched screen make it a splendid architectural masterpiece.
