Established in 1998, Academy of Modern Danse (AMD) is a cultural institution at Balaji Nagar in
Chennai,
Tamil Nadu. It stands for promoting the music by providing training to primary and senior levels of students in jazz and tap dancing. The academy has main branch at Russian Cultural Centre and two sub-centers, one at
Besant Nagar and the other at Ladi Andal School. International certified courses are designed for all age groups. Classes are conducted four times a week.
AMD is the first and only one south Indian school having recognition from Common Wealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD), Australia.
